Hey There! I am Jake Wolf the Drummer. Most people know me as Jake the Drummer. You can just call me Jake. I am a drummer/percussionist currently residing in beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I turned 30 this year and have been playing in clubs since the early age of 14. I have been trained by many kinds of drummers in many styles. Some of my teachers include William Hill (Principal Timpanist, Colorado Symphony and World Symphony), Steve Lawrence (Little Feat, Tina Turner), and several Jazz instructors at The Hartt School of Music.

Over the years I have had the honor of playing with fabulous musicians. Some of them include members of the Blues Brothers, Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia Band, The Tubes, and George Clinton and the Pfunk All-stars, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, The Digital Underground, and Cecil Peanut Daniels. I have also had the honor of playing with Jeff Pevar (David Crosby’s band), David Nelson (New Riders of the Purple Sage & Jerry Garcia Band), Buddy Cage (from New Riders of the Purple Sage, Melvin Seals from the Jerry Garcia Band, Vince Welnick, Bob Bralove and Tom Constanten from the Grateful Dead and many others.

I love to play all styles of music from African to Zydeco. I have done and am looking to do some more touring, studio gigs, local shows, and any other performances. I LOVE to travel and be on the road. I was born for it. However, I would like to remain based in Colorado if possible. I am booking now, so drop me a line. I am, However, I am NOT looking to start up something right now, unless you would be willing to work around the playing schedule I have. SInce I am a Professional Musician , this is how I make a living. Please keep that in mind before contacting me, unless you need me for a fill-in situation. Ideally I would LOVE to have one band that pays the bills, who wouldn’t right? Now I am in the position that I do play with a few bands in order to make a decent living .
