ABOUT

The intensity of belief in the power of our ancestors to interact with the physical world varies from culture to culture, and time to time. In North America, flowers, wreaths, candles, food, jewelry, and incense are common forms of tribute. Statues and monuments to the dead are common. Two of our most famous national monuments -- Mt. Rushmore and the Lincoln Memorial -- are colossal displays of ancestor veneration.

'Roadside Saints' is a conceptual undertaking that attempts to honor and cultivate the power of this archetypical human belief through music and words. Next to birth, no event holds greater importance than death. Roadside shrines, parting stones and the scattering of ashes over ground sacred to the soul who left their body behind are all reminders to us that we are but a brief moment between nothingness and eternity.

So to those who have gone before us, to those roadside saints, we pay our respects by celebrating our lives with love and music.
