Hello. I have been playing the guitar and bass for 20 plus years but probably the past 15 have been more serious then the first 5. I was young and no clue what I was doing. I new at a young age that I got something form play on a guitar. It was an outlet of some kind.
Any way, I self taught myself the basic fundamentals of the guitar. It wasn't until I start jamming in middle school that I realized that the bass is what I wanted to play. There is something about it that gives me more enjoyment. I believe there is two completely different approaches to play the bass and guitar. They are different instruments I need to be played differently.

My main bass rig is a Prs se, gk head, swr cabs and various pedals. My main guitar rig is a fender strat hss that is super trick, various pedals and a marshall.
