About
Hello,
I am a lead singer/light keyboardist with much experience and a solid, flexible voice. I am (semi) new to the Salt Lake City area, having moved here from Orange County about 9 months ago. I have performed live, original music (including some of my own songs) in several Orange County venues, and can be committed (without being serious <g>) for the right band.
My voice is often compared to Steve Perry of Journey and/or Bono of U2 - I can be solid and smooth or rough and edgy to match the mood of the song - from operatic to AC/DC as needed. I prefer mainstream rock (from ballads to hard rock), but have no desire to do metal (heavy/speed/3 chord crap). I am good with lyrics, drawing upon experience and keen observation to do so with depth. People say I look like Phil Collins or Steven Segal - although lately I'm getting thin on top (and am willing to do something about it if need be for the right group). I am probably older than everyone in your group, but I won't have a problem keeping up with any of you. Personality wise - I'm a down to earth freakin' weirdo!
I am gainfully employed locally as a senior software developer and am reliable if I am enjoying whatever it is we might be doing - if it's not satisfying (for either me or you) there won't be any problem getting me to leave. My ego is compact, portable and flexible, and won't be a problem for anyone (unless you happen to be a complete idiot!)
