Experienced frontman with great stage presence and charisma looking to get going with a new coverband project to play out at least 2x per month. Have my own PA gear..but currently do not have a place to practice. Very versital on styles and genres...just dont do screaming anymore. No ego, and would like to find like minded musicians to form a strong, long lasting group that would be close on stage and off. No interest in anyone that is either a headcase or who brings their problems on stage. Image is everything, and real musicans should be professional enough to be able to keep that away from a band. Mostly dig covers, dont get me wrong - I am open about them, but after my last steady gig that I had every Friday night for 4 months and seeing other bands came in and out, and how well the all cover bands did not go over......I had just seen firsthand that originals dont go over as big as people hope they do. For musicians that are really trying to hit the big time and push for it - more power to them and hope you hit it - but my outlook on them is that people go out and want to mostly hear stuff they are familiar with...and maybe drop one or two originals on people over the course of your show.
Looking to get back out there ASAP if I can find the right bunch o' blokes to gel with.
Blues, Classic Rock - Im talking good music! Led Zep, The Doors, Van Halen, Foo Fighers, Buddy Guy, GodSmack, and a WHOLE LOT MORE!! I have very diverse tastes in music. Has to have a good beat and lyrics mean a lot. Speaking of influences...why does every band want to play the same songs? Nickelback is SO overplayed and imitated. Bad Girlfriend is another song that was good when it came out...but now so overplayed not only on the radio, but by every band that wants to play out!!!
