In 1969 I was only 7 years old, however I was easily sucked into rock and roll simply from hearing some of the great music coming out from that year. CCR quickly became my favorite band, even over the Beatles as they were reliable enough to release one great song after another (like every 3 months). Then all the great bands of the 70s started to emerge and I was hearing some phenomenal guitar playing which made me pick up and learn the guitar at age 13. I tried when I was 9 but my hands were too small to form chords, etc.
