I started on piano when I was four and picked up saxophone at 11, playing in various concert/symphonic/jazz/rock bands through college and beyond. I toured for a year with Up With People which is where I picked up bass guitar. I still play a little keys (as you can hear in my samples), but bass has been my main instrument for about 10 years now.
Currently, I'm looking for the right mix of funk, high energy, fun stuff to make people want to get up and have a good time. Primarily inspired by players like Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten, Doug Johns, Ray Riendeau and many others, lately I've been listening to stuff like Tower of Power, Lettuce, Soulive, Jeff Healey and Papa Grows Funk. I'm open to joining something that's already established, starting something from scratch, covers and/or originals, or studio work!
My only requirement: no egos please! :) I’m looking for a collaborative team effort where everyone has a great time, with all ideas welcome. Making money would be a bonus (of course), but it’s really about playing music and having fun!
If you're interested, drop me a line. Thanks for reading and looking forward to hearing from you!
