CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR MUSICIANS FOR GEN WILKINSON GROUP
GWG BIO AND BAND INFORMATION:
The Gen Wilkinson Group is an Indies/Fusion Rock band from Northern Columbus, Ohio. The band plays all originals and lives by the belief that we don't want to be known for providing good copies we want to produce great originals.
The band is going through a rebirth after the seperation of Gen's last band. Currently the band is working on their new CD project. The band plans to be in the studio over August and September of 2012 with a release of new digital release in January of 2013. The band is transitioning from a heavy metal band that played covers only. The originators of the new venture decided it was time to move up to being more creative and performing outside the box. The forced creativity have brought about an entirely new air of excitement to the band. With the current plan we should be back out on the road by the end of 2012.
Gen Wilkinson has played in many bands over the past 25 years. She still plays with various bands as a side musician to experience different genres. Scott Logsdon has played professionally for over 30 years. A member of the American Federation of Musicians Local 103, Scott has played and recorded with several bands in several different genres. The addition of Forest Obnamia on keyboards was an excellent addition. With also being a Music Engineering Student at OSU and experienced in a studio booth, Forest is a perfect addition to the rhythm section. Forest also has an great voice and strong theory foundation for writing music. John Leggette has joined the band as a studio only addition for Jaw Harp and back ground vocals. The band is currently auditioning for the positions of Fiddle and Sax. The members of the band are all expected to be members of AFM by the fall of 2012, as well as registered with ASCAP and BMI. With the addition of the final two members, the GWG is expected to be recording by August 2012 and playing gigs by November 2012.
