Hello!
I am a drummer currently in a cover band here the KC area. I’m looking for a drummer to replace ME! (lol). I’ve been in this cover band for more than 20 years. We have a lead male vocalist, a lead guitarist/vocalist, a bassist/vocalist (my cousin) and then me, the drummer. We play a variety of music from classic rock to blues and popular music. It’s quite a variety and I can send you the master list to view.
We are all in our 50’s and one in his early 60’s. Everyone is very seasoned. We practice at my cousin’s home up in Liberty around once a week. We’ve done a lot of gigs throughout the area over the years, private gigs included, but haven’t done much since Covid hit. Covid knocked everything out of whack but they are looking to get out there again and do some smaller gigs.
I play a six-piece kit that has a footprint of around 6 ft. deep and 8 ft. wide. It’s a little too wide for some of the places they’d like to start playing so I’m searching for a drummer with a smaller set up. Between setting up my riser to plugging in the last mic, it can take from 1.5 to 2 hours to complete the build. They’re looking for someone who can set up a little faster and can be available on weekends to gig, certainly NOT every weekend but Friday or Saturday nights are usually when the gigs get scheduled.
If you’re interested, I would gladly send a Master List to you. If you’re still interested after that, I would like to meet with you and hear you play. I’m looking for a decent/seasoned drummer for them. Hearing a recording of you is good also!
