ABOUT

I am a 29 year old guitar player and here is how I see it. I do not like to use the words good and bad in relation to musicians. I have found that when I say I am good. The person who I am talking to is a god. When I say I am bad the person I am talking to has only been playing for a month. Every single time. I have played for 15 years and it has been quite a journey. I have been an addict, homeless, and successful. My guitar has always been there. I am pretty open minded with music, but I have never played metal or hard core. It just doesnt jive well with who I am. Great talent though. I listed unspecified for gigs. i figure we can craete a schedule. drop me aline.

Influences

Beatles, I dont listen to them all that much anymore. This is the first band I remember though, and "Help" was my favorite. To say they didnt influence me is a lie.

I got my first guitar at 14 and the big band at the time was Blink 182. I went out and bought the enema of the state tab book and mastered it. Later on I figured out that it is incredably easy to master Blink songs. So I bought some tube socks and went full punk/pop. Embarassing I know.

In the search of something more difficult I started tracking the guitar Gods. Hendrix, Page, Clapton, and so on. I never really got hooked, but I learned alot. George Harrison always impressed me with his solo tracks.

So around 17 I discovered Sublime, and Bradley Nowell became my hero. That is exactly what I strived to be, but unfortunately I ended up with a nasty drug addiction and homeless.

I had my son at 21and turned my life around. I still have some vices but they are pretty organic :) I dropped the electric since it was sort of a trigger for me. I would spend three or four days playing and bleeding during my addiction. I startede leaning towards acoustic, and song writing. Dylan and Petty really spoke to me. Neither can sing and both vocalists; not to mention their lyrics were gold.

That is where I have been since. Big fan of Jack Johnson, Dave mathews, and jason mraz. I really love that acoustic feel and vibe. Oh yeah and I listen to alot of Eminem. Kind of from left feild but his lyrics are great.
