I've been playing live music for over 10 years. I'm a nineties kid so even though I'm heavily into the indie/folk scene (how trendy am I?) I love everything from Green Day to No Doubt to That Dog and the whole third wave post punk scene. I'm looking to start a band that draws from current folk scene artists like The Decemberists but also combines elements from the 90's third wave post punk bands like Rilo Kiley and That Dog. Some songs will be more folky with string arrangements and others will be more jazzy major 7 pop oriented songs. I have about 15 songs written in the vein and I'd love to form a band and start playing. I have an unbelievably talented Guitarist. I need a female vocalist and all the instruments listed above. I'm by nature a punk ska kid so Catch 22, Inspecter 7, Reel Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto, Pennywise, Mellincolin, Sublime
Also a 90's kid so Green Day, No Doubt, Portishead, Fiona Apple, a lot of the 90's alternative scene.
EQUIPMENT
Acoustic/Electric Guitar, Electric Guitar, two electric basses, two bass heads, one bass cabinet, a couple of kickers for the guitars.
I have a gig room fully equipped. PA system, three mics, drum kit to guitar stacks and a bass stack.
I'm ready to go.
