I am primarily a keyboardist and guitar player who has been dabbling in the live hip hop and electronic music scene but would like to be in a live band setting. I tend to lean toward Jazz influences. I am open to almost everything as long as there is some genuine funk, groove, soul, passion, and serious timing going on. I would be interested in starting or joining a rock project. I have been a turntablist for a hard rock band and played keys in live hip hop bands. I am very versatile and have great time and coordination and am seeking others who are open minded who know how to work well with other musicians. I have had enough of the I'm a lead instrument and can't keep timing with others. I've jammed with a lot of people that can keep there own rythm but can't join one that they hear. Bad for bands if you know what I'm saying. I'm a very non egotistacal musician and just love music. I don't do this because I watched too much MTV as a teen. The passion is real, if yours is too please contact me and lets start something great.

for some music. Keep in mind although its hip hop/electronic music there are zero samples involved and everything was played and performed live. Not typical of the genre.
Thanks.

Influences:

I like this new electro rock thing that is booming like the killers ect. I also love funky house music and hip hop grooves. Obviously not your top 40 stuff. I refer to that as Pop Hop instead. I love old school jazz and some classical piano stuff. (Chopan) I like trip hop bands. Portishead is the one that sticks out. I'm looking to join anything but a pop band that is using the same 4 open/powerchords to write a song that has been done 2,000 times before. I'm looking for some super creative people rather than the technical bore. Of course both never hurts. I would rather work on something underground that is so unique that it becomes pop music. Something undeniable with it's energy. Anyway said plenty.

Equipment List:

Yamaha RM1X(beat sequencer/tone box
61 key Midi controller(keyboard)
2 tech 1200's turntables
upright piano
acoustic guitar(nothing special)
The cheapest yet the thing I play the most.
