SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
I just moved up from the Bay Area and am looking to play. Mostly I play guitar and sing, but I would be confident playing some banjo in a band, maybe switch off on some bass too. Lots of influences and styles; in the last couple of years I had a main band that was a jammy bluesy rock power trio, and also was in bluegrass, jazz, and blues bands, and a choir. I have a bunch of songs written and have good gear. Looking for some folks to play with; I can fill in on gigs and stuff, but mostly just a consistent group of fun folks around my age (27) to jam with on a somewhat regular basis. Electric or acoustic, original or cover, startup or established or never going to be anything more than a basement jam, let me know and I'm down. I live in Auburn, but can and will travel to Sacramento and beyond for a good jam.

Influences
A ton, but the three guitar players I'm most likely to lift a lick off are Albert King, Dickie Betts and Mike Howser. Also, I generally play without a pick and can and do fingerpick pretty well.
EQUIPMENT
Main rig is a Gibson SG through a Fender solid state head and a Crate 4x10. Also have other electrics, acoustics and acoustic electrics, some smaller amps, a banjo and enough vocal equipment for practice; in the right situation I'd be down to chip in to rent space, get a PA, etc.
