I have had a love for singing since I was young. I started out in school choirs and when competing in a vocal competition, was encouraged to take private lessons and to perform solo. My lessons started out in the classical style of opera and as I gained a better understanding of my voice and my range, I pursued small musical projects and found a talent for not only opera but jazz, folk, celtic, and r&b as well. I am very versatile and learn songs very quickly, even if in a different language.

Influences
Ella Fitzgerald has always been a huge inspiration to me with just how much fun she had even when she was performing. I also hold the opera singer Cecilia Bartoli in high regard because of her visible passion for the music she was singing and her gorgeous voice. Growing up with my irish mother, Celtic music has also been a very huge part of my life. It is fitting that I should sing sean nos as well (in the traditional celtic style).
