Sarcoid Torsion began as an experimental metal group from Port St. Lucie Florida. When singer/keyboardist Sarah Paglione began looking for a new bassist and lead guitarist for her band in September 2008, she came across Zac Harrell, a bassist, who introduced her to Nate Flores, an experienced guitarist. The two clicked immediately and formed the foundation for the rest of the band. They're first song together as a band was Black Sabbath's Iron Man, and almost instantly after that they began writing their own music. Sarcoid Torsion’s first songs were Catholic Cannibal, Eden, and Digging My Grave, written by Sarah Paglione, and Leave me alone written by Zac Harrell and Nate Flores. Sarcoid Torsion's First Show Ever was at Exodus On August 20th, 2009. The band has gone through many hardships and lineup changes within the last year, including the resignation of bassist Zac Harrell; however they have pulled out of these only to become stronger with each renovation.
Sarcoid Torsion's new line-up was developed from friends of the current band members. The first member was Branden Anderson, an old-time friend of Nate Flores, who replaced the original guitarist in October 2008. Later they acquired Paul Buccieri, a friend of Nate and Sarah’s as a drummer, soon to be replaced by Chris Barrett in September, 2009. Paul then transferred to be their percussionist and screamer, and also Daniel Locke replaced Zac Harrell on the Bass In September, 2009.
Currently Sarcoid Torsion is in the process of writing new music and getting used to its new line-up. They currently have quite a few shows lined up for them, and the future looks bright. The band rehearses every Thursday in the Garage of singer Sarah Paglione’s House, and all are welcome to stop by to listen. They are also planning to record their full-length EP in December, whereas current Demos may be heard on the band’s myspace and youtube accounts.
