ABOUT

Suicide by Kumari is a new band that holds its practices in Uptown New Orleans. More importantly, we are a blend of alternative, progressive and minimalist influences, that seem to have led to a very powerful yet easy to groove to series of sounds. Joshua McGraw (Guitar/Drums) and William J. Creppell, Esq. (Bass/Guitar) have worked together for the last 7 years in broken periods. It was not until the addition of an old friend, Austin Cheramie (Drums/Guitar) that songs in which sat for long periods without completion got on the path to becoming finished material.

As a band, the members have only been together for two months. There is enough material for an album (maybe even two). There is just one glaring issue. A lack of a vocalist. It was discussed that a second guitarist would be a great addition to the band as well. But most importantly, we need a singer.

All current members are more than ready to perform for shows, so anyone who intends on applying for the position should not be set on being in a hobby band. We are trying to make business happen, and anyone not pushing for the same goal will just hold us back.

File sharing is limited, so only four of our songs are posted. Also, this is a rough recording, so the production quality is lackluster. It should be decent enough for any who decide to test their chops on to get a grasp of the key and timing. So have at it.
