NOTICE! Explanation of posted songs. None of these were professionally recorded.
1. Digital Transcendence -(03/01/2008) Made with Acid software using free samples from looperman.com
2. Change Me (Spiral) - Recorded in Summer of 2002 in a HOT storage unit.
3. Lifespan - Recorded using Cool Edit Pro in Spring of 2000. Meant to be instrumental a la film music. Don't know where the "ghost hissing" came from. Probably from all the media transfers it has endured.
4. 3 Minutes of Fun - Guitar parts written Fall of 2005 using Power Tab software. Drum samples added Summer 2007 using Acid 5.0. All parts except the drums are the sound of MIDI playback on my PC. Meant to have vocal. I have no means to record a vocal at this time.
5. Unfinished and Untitled - See #4
I am a guitarist/bassist who has been out of the game since 2003. I have been playing guitar over 20 years. I played bass from 2000-2003 in TRB (Tony Romanello Band), a popular modern rock band in Tulsa, OK. We gigged regularly, opened for national touring acts, and won Best Rock Act three years in a row at the annual Tulsa World Spot Awards.
At the same time, I fronted (write, guitar, vocal) my own band, Spiral, which had just started when, due to a divorce situation in the band, we had to call it quits.
I do no drugs, non smoker, drink a little, have a day job. I'm not looking to jump into anything right now as I have NO GEAR (had to sell it all - AAAARRRRGH!), but in the future I would like to collaborate with like minded musicians, sound architects, poets, artists, etc. I am professional, prompt, no drama, and mature. I also would consider a new project with promising contacts for work. Currently, I have no gear, but as soon as my income permits, I will re-equip myself with what I had previously. (See equipment list)
Although these are my main influences over the years, within the past 5 years I have expanded my listening palette to include many other styles, instruments, and cultures, including classical, jazz, world (thanks Peter Gabriel!), Latin, electronic, and more. I like to think in terms of inspiration rather than influence. In no particular order: Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Billy Corgan, Kevin Shields, Robert Smith, Velvet Underground, Bjork, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, The Doors, Flaming Lips, Jeff Buckley, Joy Division, Maria Callas, Giacomo Puccini, Johnny Cash, Cowboy Junkies
