ABOUT

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS: 40 years experience, with 10 years as bassist for Blue River Band (see website brbrocks "dot" com) 2011-2021; also play acoustic guitar, vocals, songwriter. Seems like I've played it all, from 80's rock (yes in the 80's), to originals, to fronting a band, to Contemporary Christian, to rock, country, blues, etc. Good equipment, motivation, and organizational skills. College graduate, early retiree from professional career, along with a heavy play schedule 2011-2021 with Blue River Band in the midwest. Moved to Pensacola-Perdido Key in 2021, then on to The Villages in late 2023. Believe that "practice" is what happens at home, while "rehearsal" is what happens when the band gets together. Don't waste everyone's time by not showing up prepared. I'm certainly a quick study and learn songs quickly. References available. See website above for plenty of pictures, videos, studio and live recordings. Currently seeking quality band and musicians. Enjoyment is #1 priority.....pay is honestly secondary. I'd rather play with good players and fun gigs for free than to play a paying gig that is drudgery. Preference would be in a full range of country with some classic rock and 60's to 80's thrown in, but more than capable of a wide range of genre, I’m also very interested in playing in support of original artists and singer/songwriters. You won't have to worry about any attitude problems with me, no alcohol or drug issues, always on time and always prepared.
