Experienced gig and studio drummer, played varying styles over the years from heavy alt-rock to folk-rock to blues to softer jazz, small lounges to large festival stages.

Currently working in the Portland area with Billy D & The Hoodoos, Rae Gordon, Kenny Lavitz, Kris Deelane, Cindy Michelle, Paula Byrne and others playing Blues, Jazz, Swing, Funk, Rockabilly, Country Rock.

Worked with several groups in the So Cal/Los Angeles region: Tupelo Blue, Jill Sharpe Band, JoeyJoel and West Coast Soul, and others as well for gigs, short tours, subbing, etc. Relocated to Portland OR in 2011. Have played many styles.

Influences

Early influences were 60s and 70s Rock and Blues; Jazz and Fusion with Weather Report, Chick Corea, Return to Forever and others; Lot's of Jazz and Big Band influence with Buddy, Gene, Louis, and others; Rock and Alternative in the 80s; Celtic styles with folk-rock band for 20 years, heavily influenced by Fairport Convention; Blues, Swing and New Orleans styles since the 90s

EQUIPMENT

DW drums, multiple kits & sizes suitable for large stages to small jazz rooms. Three snares: Noble & Cooley solid maple; Ludwig maple; Custom rosewood snare built for me with white oak hoops, Dunnett throw-off and gold plated hardware by Pete Stanbridge, (stanbridgedrums.com). Mixed cymbal makers depending on sound.
