I have recently started writing my own lyrics and music and am looking for people who want to try and create some original stuff and maybe play some cover stuff too.
If I had to describe my style and lyrics I would say somewhere in the ball park of Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Mastodon, Megadeath and other heavy bands like that.
I am not a shredder and do not want to be one. I can play and write solos when it is appropriate. I have a firm belief that a good riff, whether it be supper technical or very simple, can make a song. I like it when a band comes together to make a song whole. If you are the kind of musician who is going to try to solo over everyone when trying to write a song then I am not interested. I am very open minded and open to suggestions and I want to jam with musicians who are going to challenge me to be better than what I am.
