San Diego based DURAN DURAN tribute band seeks full time LEAD VOCALIST with pro gear & attitude, age 21-40 to join our band. Appropriate height/weight/youngish image a MUST! We’re seeking dynamic live performers who can carry a tribute show playing to 1000+ people. Must be available for the occasional short tour, regular local shows, and weekend out of town shows.

Our tribute band has plenty of agency, promoter and venue contacts and has solid paying gigs pending as soon as you’re integrated into the project. This is not a hobby; this project has serious income potential. We’re aligned with some other nationally touring 80s tribute acts and will be playing on some big shows straight away.

More specifically, we're looking for a LEAD VOCALIST to embody and channel Simon LeBon. Beyond the ability to merely hit the notes, we’re seeking a vocalist that has a VERY SIMILAR TIMBRE to their voice as Simon. Equally important is the ability to be a charismatic frontman and energize big crowds in this very physically demanding role. A general physical resemblance will be a BIG plus. As importantly, the group will LOOK like Duran Duran and you must have a willingness to play “dress-up” and wear makeup and style hair, or wear a wig if necessary. We need the incoming members to help with other extra-musical duties as well as digging into the rehearsals. This is a team effort and we want everyone to contribute. As this is a serious business endeavor, we equally split all of the live and merch income.

We have our own rehearsal studio and we have (period authentic) & professional gear. We need someone who is available to get together 2-3 times per week to rehearse or perform live shows. No drugs, slackers, egos, militant right-wing religious nuts, or jobless scroungers.
