You gotta' hear the story to understand where I'm coming from...
I grew up in Oklahoma - in country bars and dance-halls, playing keyboards and singing in my dad's country/honkytonk band. When I was 19, I toured the U.S. in a country band that was sponsored by Dodge trucks. We played the PRCA circuit and opened for some pretty big names back then. A few years later, in Stillwater, OK, I was a founding member of the band, "The Great Divide." I quit TGD long before they got their record deal - I was engaged and was (foolishly) more committed to being domesticated and married than I was to playing music. I have kicked myself in the butt a million times over that decision.


Now, 10 years later, I am divorced - with a desire to play music and be on stage again that is so bad, IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!


I am hoping to join an existing country band, but I am also not opposed to starting from scratch with the right individuals. I play the piano/keyboards by ear and can learn any song after listening to it a few times. I sing both lead and harmony vocals. I don't have to be the "star of the show." I just want to make music and be on stage again. It's in my blood.
