Hello,
My name is Shiva. I am a female vocalist who just moved to NYC from the west coast, and I'm looking for people to play with. I also play the drums, the guitar, the keyboard - though I'm self-taught, so I'm a little rough around the edges (which can be a good and a bad thing, I guess :-) ) My style is quite folksy right now. I'm heavily influenced by the likes of Thao Nguyen, Regina Spektor, Ani Difranco, Toshi Reagon, Tracy Chapman - but I do love me some classic rock, so I constantly attempt to break away from that traditional folksy sound.
