ABOUT

I have been working as a professional trombonist/arranger in a variety of contexts and genres since I was 16. I am extremely comfortable in jazz, orchestral, and commercial settings. I am also an accomplished bass trombone player. I am personable, kind, flexible, and generally very easy to work with.

I received my Bachelors in performance from the University of Texas at Arlington (under Dennis Bubert) and my Masters in jazz studies from Florida State University (under Paul McKee). I have been traveling the world as a cruise ship musician the past 3 years and have performed on 6 continents.

I have composed and arranged a wide variety of music ranging from big band pieces to small classical chamber pieces. I work extremely fast in both the arranging and copy-editing disciplines. In this vein, I am also a very accomplished transcriber.

Please feel free to request any materials, it would be my pleasure to work with you.

Thank You,
Steven Dunn
