I am a 28 year old singer/guitar player looking to put together a band. My influences include Frank Zappa, The Smashing Pumpkins, Jane's Addiction, Primus, Alice in Chains, CCR, The Flaming Lips, The Pixies, My Bloody Valentine, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Bob Dylan, etc.

My drummer and I have been playing in bands together for about 3 years and want to put together a band that plays a mix of covers ranging from the 60's to 90's accented by originals of my/our own, eventually playing much more originals than covers. We will practice approximately 8 hours a week as well as playing live shows at least once per week.

We are looking for a bass player and a rhythm guitar player. Being able to double on keyboards (doesn't have to be anything fancy, basic melody is fine) is definitely a plus but not necessary. Other multi-instrumentalists are also a plus but not necessary. My drummer plays some bass and guitar and I myself can also play drums, bass, (don’t laugh) accordion, and other instruments.

Rehearsals will take place at the Jam Crib (we will pay your membership if you are not currently a member) and will be fairly unstructured. We will probably just play some improv jams and talk about what cover songs we might want to do to see how well we play together and if we are on the same wavelength as to the direction of this band. Once band members have been established we have a home rehearsal space that we will practice in.
