In high school I made the All Region Jazz ensemble as well as the All Region Concert ensemble. I was first chair for three years out of seven different tenor saxes and was in the Jazz band for two years. In those two years I learned to read chord changes and improvise in any style of music. Our Jazz band made first division in solo and ensemble and we also came out in the St. Mary's Jazz Festival in Texas. I plan on continuing to play saxophone and increase my knowledge on music theory.
