ABOUT

I am a bass player looking to join a band or start up my own band. I want to do heavy metal/hard rock. I DON'T want to be in a cover band. I want to do originals and make albums and tour. I also want to be in a band that stands out like Metallica, Van Halen, Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie, Iron Maiden, The Winery Dogs, ect. I don't want to be just another band among the mix of the thousands of bands out there. I'd like to do something in the style of Black Country Communion, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Slash, Pantera, Iron Maiden, The Winery Dogs, Black Label Society, Five Finger Death Punch, Mastodon, Hellyeah, ect. That kind of stuff. I don't want to put myself or the band in a box so to speak. I'd like to be able to be creative and explore the music. Essentially to be able to write ballads and heavy crushing songs and different stuff and not limit myself to a small box of stuff we can only do. I would prefer to find a band that is just starting out so that we can all be a part of the creation of the band and creative process. But at this point in my life I'm willing to at least try out for any band that is willing to try out and take on a bass player such as myself.

I am not your typical bass player. I am all self taught. I tend to play more like a guitar player but I play from the heart and I play what I feel when I hear a song or I am creating a riff or a song. I also do not do any kind of slap bass. I am always looking to improve playing and get better with the help of others but again I want to stay away from slap bass. I also do not do any vocals as I cannot sing worth a damn!

Also I would like to stick with finding bands who are close by me as I can't travel far but if the right band/situation comes along I may be able to travel farther.
