Slo' Moses™ is a band of musicians from widely varying backgrounds of blues, rock, R&B, soul, country, jazz and gospel music that have come together under God’s leadership to create a new genre of Christian music. From electric Chicago, soulful Memphis and toe-tapping Texas blues, to Latin, gospel and jazz influenced melodic smooth grooves, to Old-School R&B and soul, to classic blues rock and modern progressive blues, these guys pull out all the stops to break down the stereotypes usually associated with the Christian music industry, while somehow making each uniquely original song meld within the whole repertoire with a cohesiveness that is uncommon even in most single faceted bands.
Slo'Moses™ envisioned a Christian life based band whose original songs were designed to reach people in the 25 to 55 age group and enjoyed Blues, Old-School Soul and R&B, and Classic Rock music styles, but were not already committed to serving Jesus Christ. After much searching and deliberation, a name that befit the struggle for the birth of the band and the willingness of God to use imperfect beings for His calling was chosen: Slow Moses. The “w” was dropped from the name for the sake of reflecting the uniqueness of the group, and the band became Slo' Moses™. These ingredients complete a recipe for a musical sound that cannot be compared to any other cookie-cutter style or group in today’s Christian music industry. With a heart for serving the loving, gracious and powerful Jehovah God, a desire for spreading the Good News of salvation and forgiveness through His only son Jesus Christ, a mission for bringing people to a true relationship with God through the Holy Spirit, and a vision for a vehicle capable of breaking down barriers of musical style, age, race, religious traditions, and corporate industry models, Slo' Moses™ represents the next step in reaching out to expand the Kingdom of God by using groove-driven music to connect the human soul to the unconditional love of God.
