SmartyPants is a local cover band playing current dance music out of Michigan City. We are a show band playing songs from Rhianna, Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, etc. Looking for a vocalist to round out the lineup. We are gigging 2-3x a month mostly at larger venues. We would prefer a male vocalist - but would be open to another female if the fit is right. Must be strong harmonizer and willing to share lead vocal parts with our female lead.

SmartyPants was the creative brainchild of Tara, Mark & Connor who played together in an acoustic band and wanted something more energetic. Connor has moved to Indianapolis and will not be able to maintain his role.
Tara, who had played in the rock/dance band SpellBound for 12 years had always wanted to do a musical project that featured all the current dance hits. It was a different set-up having two frontline singers (a male and a female), but that was what made it unique. Ben our bass player came to us from a hard rock background but quickly adapted his playing style to a funky back beat. Brian our drummer had spent his whole career in regional bands and lays down a great base on his electronic kit.. Tommy, our keyboardist added that synth sound that is an integral part of dance music and Mark holding down the guitar parts and adding synthesized sound when needed. SmartyPants was ready to set the music scene on fire.
