ABOUT

We are a fairly new band that was started back in September and are in the song writing process. We just finished 4 demo songs that are in the process if being mixed and are eager to get in with more song writing and start performing asap! The main hold up is finding the right bass player and piano player for our group!

A bit about us and our sound: Our music is greatly influenced by old jazz, blues, folk, and rock music. We are going for kind of a Squirrel nut zippers vibe and definitely an organic experimental feel. Tom Waits musical style would be another good example. We are still working out our sound, however, and are anxious to get the core group sorted out so we can get down to business. We are an eclectic mix of folks and the line up goes.. female lead vocals (me), Banjo, Uke, Guitar and various other stringed instruments, drums and lead guitar and the band on back up vocals. We are planning on throwing some horns and strings in there once we get the core group put together. We are lots of fun, like to goof around, and each have our own quirky personality. We plan on having a stage show with some style and flare, costumes, dancers, etc. but for now we really want to finish writing the music!

Who you are: Fun, dynamic, a bit quirky, dedicated and reliable! Must be willing to practice at least once a week either in the city or the east bay. I work at Digidesign so we practice in the studios in Daly City and sometimes at our drummers house in the east bay. Please have some style and be open minded as well!
Bass player: Preferably someone who can play electric and stand up. Must be able to learn new material and be very comfortable in the song writing process coming up with new ideas, etc. Creativity is much appreciated!

Piano player: Able to do many styles and improvise! Blues and honky tonk is a must. If you can do some electronic programming that is even more of a plus but we have that covered if not. If you can play accordion, even better. Again, must be able to easily learn new material as well as come up with new ideas for the song writings process.

We look forward to meeting you! Get in touch soon.
