About

Our band is called Salon of Refuse. We need a drummer with jazz and rock influences who has an astute comprehension of dynamics, grooves and musical aesthetics. We need somebody who is tasteful and who can play across a wide range of simplicity and complexity, hitting soft and hard depending on what is needed and most of all, who understands space. In short, we need somebody who knows how to play for the songs and not for themselves. As the primary song writer, I am also a visual artist with a master's of fine arts degree. Our music is very intertwined with visual art sensibilities.

Influences

Led Zeppelin, The Cure, The Doors, Jane's Addiction, Pink Floyd, Queen, Alice in Chains, David Bowie, A Perfect Circle, REM and Radiohead. We listen to a lot of music but these bands fit noticeably enough to actually list them.
