Hi, I am singer trying to form a small combo for some sit-ins and for occasional paying gigs around town. I am looking for a jazz/blues drummer, bass player, keyboard and guitarist who know or are familiar with music in the blues/jazz category. You don't have to be expert, but should be proficient. Can be old school musicians, or younger cats who can easily pick up parts. Age, race, gender and background do not matter except must be over 18), I am non-discriminatory and non-judgmental with respect to all artist, black or white, male or female. I have a couple of instruments for use, a Gibson Epiphone guitar and a Roland MKB 300 keyboard, if you don't have your own. I also have an old Fender Rhodes, but it needs some work to play well. Rehearsals are non-paying and proceeds from all paying gigs are shared equally.
Also, it would be nice to get together and just jam and see what we come up with. Either at a rehearsal space or at an open-mike type situation, I have some music and can get more. Thanks.
