yammermi at dot com - I can learn anything by tomorrow! I play bass that can find the 'hidden melody and soul in your music and help write the hooks and create atmospheres in original music and just generally support my band mates. I have experience in cover and original bands over 20 years. I have speed, precision and funk'nuff to pull off most anything AND know how to use it with taste. I can stay in the pocket or swing it out and walk. I can also hit that harmony singing back-ups. I am a decent arranger/producer-type as I also can play guitar, drums and keys each a little and have done some recording. I prefer modern/alternative rock, my roots are in the early seventies.
I have a good appearance and an entertaining audience rapport. I have a good internal clock and sense of rhythm and can move when I play if given the room. I have the innate ability to lock into my drummer and find our groove. I prefer a BIG guitar sound laced with lighter-voiced strat-sound or tasteful keys and a bass line with a life of it's own that's in the mix, invisable to the average listener but recognised by the fellow musician. Maybe a choppy ska groove where the music seems to bounce between the guitar and bass over an almost-regge beat or a heavy dropped-tune crunch that slams you at the 1&3 count. A good lead vocalist, preferably female, and 3 & 4 part harmonies and rehearsals dedicated to vocals. I like a slick, tasteful drummer with a solid kick drum. But nothin's etched in stone - Surprise me. I’m not a front man nor an attention hound. I prefer that feeling I get when I look across at other musicians and we’re locked together in the groove over the audience applause any day.

Main Bass: Yamaha BB3000 (Third time back to this bass in 15 yrs - luv it, dunno why - guess it plays me best). Spector 5-string and Dean 12-String Bass. GK 1000 rack mount head, Ampeg SVT400 head, both line-out to P.A if needed, BBE Max3 crossover/split to amps GK 4x10 and 15" bi-amp spkr cabs, Fender guitar amp & lotsa rack gear and full selection of effects. Sure mics and stands.
