ABOUT
Classically trained, Teal lineage. Music performance major, jazz scholarship, Michigan State. Played in numerous big bands/jazz orchestras in and out of school; concert and symphonic bands, as a lead player and soloist. Played, recorded and toured with a rock 'n roll band for 4+ yrs in the '80's. Into all music forms these days- anything that can handle a saxophone, and a few styles that don't normally. I read, transcribe, and I play by ear; I love to jam/solo/improvise. I play soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones equally well but differently. I'm also proficient on flute, play a bit of clarinet, and hand percussion. Currently playing with William and the Romantics, a full swing big band with singers, on lead tenor; The Tim Hill Combo (Original Americana rock n' roll- bari, tenor, soprano, flute, vocals, tambourine); Ted Parks and the Busted Bones (Twang rock n' roll- tenor); Aint No Mountain High Enough- Motown/Stax Review (bari, tenor, backing vocals); Polka Folka (soprano); Various New Mexican/Tejano/Cumbia bands, and others. I am a live sound engineer, and I produce, mix, master and engineer recordings. I have an extensive mic collection and a portable recording rig, pro hardware and software, etc. I provide studio/remote recording and live sound services, often while performing.
Other: I've acted in major motion pictures, on television, in independent films, and on many stages in DC, NYC, Chicago, and Detroit. I'm a pro carpenter/handyman, a photographer, a produced playwright, a theatrical and film/television electrician, grip, and rigger, and I'm an installer/rigger/inspector of theatrical lighting equipment, motorized rigging systems, curtains, pipe grids, etc.. I love mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding, and telemark skiing. My wife and I have logged thousands of miles tandem mountain biking.

Done in one take using the computer mic (!). Originally going to be a version of Bolero, but it morphed in a liquid way into Bolerium (Bolero+Aquarium). Listen close for Basho the dog's vocal stylings at the end...
