Drums, Bass Guitar, Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Vocalist - General.
I'm a 30yo guitarist. I'm looking for a band needing a rhythm or lead guitarist. I can, and will do, either one.
I'm traditionally a blues-based improvisational soloist. My style goes well with classic rock, southern rock, blues, and some older metal. I would prefer a band doing original music. But, a cover band is fine, as long as the band is open to me improvising the solos. I consider myself an artist, and I don't want to do a note-for-note copy of another artists solo. Exceptions, of course, wil be made for lead licks vital to the song.
I'm influenced by many great guitarists. A few include, and in no particular order: Eric Clapton, SRV, Ritchie Blackmore, Glenn Tipton, Jimi Hendrix, Chuck Berry.
I solo mostly in Aeolian, but I do a lot in Dorian. Other modes here and there too. Or go back and forth. Just depends on my mood, and the feel of the song.
I build, and/or customize my guitars.
Gibson LP w/EMG 81/85
Double Fat Strat, w/EMG ST-12
Fender Strat w/scalloped neck
For effects, I keep it simple.
TS-9 w/808 mod
Little big muff
Cry Baby wah
Marshall 1959 SLP, re-issue, for big stuff
Marshall Valvestate 8080 for small stuff and practice
Marshall Valvestate 232 for practice
