Hello there.
I am a female singer looking to get back into the fold with other musicians. I am extremely serious and want to mesh well with the right people. I am very easy going, quiet and dedicated to art and music. I hope to find others in my town whom possess similar endeavors.
I am 30 years old, no children, non-smoker, not religious, don't use drugs and am an occasional drinker, but will have a swing or two to loosen up for stage. I am willing to join a band and practice as much as we can to become a serious name throughout Texas.
I have been singing for over 25 years. I also play B flat clarinet, I have dabbled in keyboard, but not very good at it. I can hit a few notes and play by ear, but that is pretty much it. When it comes to vocals and the keyboard, I have been trained in the classical way, but over time, have picked up on rock, pop and jazz genres. I like the new electro-swing sound and am a fan of I also dig certain broadway play music. I note that you like Adele. I don't really listen to her that much, I don't think I sound like her, but I can most certainly try if that's the goal you are working towards. I can mimic voices and dialects to an extent, but I strive for my own sound as well
I like to write songs as well and I am also a story writer. I am a poet, but adding my love of music in makes some of my poems into songs. As far as musical notes go, I write them as clarinet notes....so....Plus as some one who has to write believable stories and settings, my songs can get kind of deep or have some hidden meaning that can be interpreted differently by everyone.

Influences
Daft Punk and Gorillaz. My biggest vocal inspirations come from Amy Winehouse, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Madonna and the band Queen. I have a thing for 1960's - 1980's sounding rock/pop music as well.
