Looking to find others here in the Houston area who are into creative improvisational music, whether its pocket groove based funky stuff, to Songos and Partido Altos, to jazz/fusion and Calypso Soca stuff. Just got the Jing Chi record by Haslip, Ford, and Colliuta! Very very nice work. Haslip sounds excellent in this genre! Also into Krantz, Henderson, Willis, Landau, and of course Billy Bass Nelson!

I never liked having to list influences for fear of being perceived as being limited of liking everything i didnt list. Also, most of my playing and work will not sound like my influences, I dont try to be and sound like those who I love.
