I am a music lover of the Jazz, Orchestra, Big Band and Classical genres. I began learning the Bb trumpet at around 9-years old and played (practiced) consistently through the age of 18-years old. I transitioned into the Bb flugel horn at 13-years old. I started a family at a very young age and unfortunately allowed my passion for playing the horn to fade away. Now that my children are grown up and on their own, I have a lot of free time to do some of the things I love in life...such as playing the horn.
I am serious about recommitting my life to playing the horn. I have been practicing at least 5-6 times a week for the past 2-months and I am able to play my Intermediate study music. I am interested in playing as a 2nd or 3rd line horn player until I can regain my previous skills which will be pretty quickly since I am dedicated to practicing and regaining endurance, etc.

Influences
The most influential musicians (horn players) that I have admired are Chuck Mangione (reason why I love to play the flugel horn), Wynton Marsalis, Arturo Sandoval, Doc Severinsen and Dizzy Gillespie. However, I most admire Wynton because of his ability to play so many different genre of music and play them so well.

EQUIPMENT
I practice mostly with a Bb Tromba brand flugel horn (plastic ABS material) and also have an old gold lacquered Indian brand Bb flugel horn (metal). Currently in the process of saving up some money to get a better qualify fluegel horn to play.
