ABOUT

STIXOFPRAIZE, known to many as TreyArthur is a native of Hawthorne, Florida. He is an annointed and highly favored Husband, Father, and Skilled Musician. His path began at the tender age of 2, when he began to unveil a gift which came only from God. Unbeknown to his parents he possessed a talent which spoke for itself. Throughout elementary school the gift grew and so did the awareness and support of his parents. Entering into the middle school music program he immediately went to the head of his class in rudimental development and leadership ability. By his freshman year in high school in 1988 he was co-section leader in the local marching band and felt he needed to further pursue his education and development thru private drum lessons in order to go to the next level.
Not satisfied with the norm of the style of music he had been accustomed to he wanted more. Entering into Florida A&M University in the Fall of 1992 he earned a position on the snare drum line in the World Renowned "Marching 100" under the leadership of The Great William P. Foster.
After completing that leg of the journey he went onto pursue life at it's next level. Allowing his gift to make room for him and bringing him before great men, he moved to Dallas, Texas in 1997 and walked into the beginning of his Destiny, Purpose, and Position. It was at this time that he allowed God to show him why at that tender age of 2 he had an uncontrollable urge to play the drums. It was at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship (Dr. Tony Evans, Pastor) that he was able to bridge the gap between music and ministry. It was here, at O.C.B.F. that he was appointed the head drummer position leading the Praise Team, Young Adult and Unity Choir into Worship before the Lord for 5 years. The next segment of the journey would require him moving back home to Gainesville, Florida where he now resides. He attended Full Sail University where he pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Music Production and Engineering, and is Co-founder and Drummer of the Hip-Hop Band -SOME COLLEGE-. He is currently playing drums as well as an Instructor at Prayers By Faith Church under Pastor Gerard Duncan. TreyArthur has since birth the vision, STIXOFPRAIZE "where beats meet bible", which has been within in him for so long awaiting God's perfect timing and will for his life. The Ministry STIXOFPRAIZE is a collage of TreyArthur's musical journey back to God, and an opportunity to give back to the lives of other aspiring drummers in search of the purpose of their playing.
