Skilled and versatile bassist, play a wide variety of musical styles (Classic Rock 60s-90s; R&B; Disco Funk; '80s New Wave/Power Pop; Country Rock; Big Band; Smooth Jazz; Latin; Reggae; Contemporary Christian; Gospel; Blues; Surf; Americana; Acoustic ("coffee house" gigs); Classical; Sacred Music (church services); Musical Theater). Have worked with well known groups and musicians such as Chameleon (pre-Yanni); Romeo with Dez Dickerson (pre-Prince); Jack Sherman (Red Hot Chili Peppers); Tony Andreason (Trashmen). More recently with Tony Wilson (James Brown tribute); Larry "Soulman" Fountain (Al Green tribute); Midlife (Funk-Fusion instrumental group); the Surf Dawgs (instrumental rock with Zippy Caplan, former lead guitarist of The Litter); the Basilica of Saint Mary contemporary music ministry; Pit Orchestra for various musical theater productions. Extensive live and studio experience, very musically knowledgeable, have excellent melodic and rhythmic sense, good at reading bass notation and improvising through chord changes. Also have arranging and music production skills (i.e. recording, mastering, audio restoration). Looking to work with high caliber musicians in a professional and collaborative environment.
