About
Looking to form or join projects centered around funk, jazz-funk and soul. Interested in writing/collaborating/creating and covering material in the style of Galactic, Meters, Karl Denson, Greyboy Allstars, Maceo Parker, Jon Cleary, Donny Hathaway, Herbie Hancock and others. The more it grooves, the better it is.
Looking to work with proficient, solid players who can improv, groove and who can adapt to different musical styles. We all know musicality is important, but of equal or even greater value are individuals who can check their egos at the door, are easy going, reliable and love taking part in the creative process.
I am a versatile, reliable player and am also open to hearing about other projects in funk, soul, alternative, blues, fusion and jazz.
Influences
Personally, I have a wide range of influences; The Roots, Soulive, Lettuce, Hendrix, Monk, Coltrane, Herbie, Curtis Mayfield, Gil Scott Heron, Pat Metheny, Michael Brecker, Karl Denson, Greyboy Allstars, Galactic, Albert King, Jeff Beck, Zep, Tribe, RTF, The Breakestra, Gnappy, Parliament, EWF, Brand New Heavies, Marvin, Miles, Stevie Wonder, Linsey Alexander, Maceo, Chaka; its endless. As for drumming influences I would include Amir Thompson, Stanton Moore, Roy Haynes, Jack Dejohnette and Lenny White among many others.
Equipment List
Drums, Keys, recording gear, mics, etc. Comfortable practice space close to Newtown exit of I95 and Willow Grove exit of PA Turnpike.
