About
I have been a pianist for 40 years. I mainly play classical music, but can play all the way to the 2010's. I am also the granddaughter of Ruth Hulse Nelson I play my grandmother's music for her rememberence of 25 years being on KMOX radio in St. Louis, Missouri. While she was at CBS or KMOX many of her standout people Fwere George Goebel, Lawrence Welk, Ted Straeter,Venida Jones and many others along with my grand uncle France Laux.
Influences
My grandmother learned to play the piano at age 2,by the age of 8, she was playing for silent movies. My grandmother after graduating from college, studied under the master, Ralph Waldo Emerson. She bought my first piano at age 10, she said play,I did immediately, and now I can consider myself her prodigy. During all of my lessons from high school to college, my favorites would have to be Mozart, Chopin, and Beethoven. Now, from the old standards I would have to say that Gershwin Bros., and Rogers and Hammerstein were literally the epitome of Broadway.
