ABOUT

CURRENTLY LOOKING TO START A SOUTHERN CHRISTIAN FEMALE TRIO!!!!

I am a faithful Christian. I now sing for Christ, as opposed to myself. I was saved by Christ in the spring of '08 and have experienced a life-change through His salvation! I am active in my church's choir and sing solos whenever I can. God is behind every opportunity that comes my way. Due to a recent lesson He has taught me, I am now looking more openly at every open door. He has blessed me with my talents and passions for music. There is no way I would be who I am today if it wasn't for Him and His love for me.
PROVERBS 3:5-6 "TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING, BUT IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATHS."

I am a strong believer in making all songs original. I have a flavor of my own. I bring my own style to all the songs I sing in a way that makes it who I am. Having fun with music makes it so much more enjoyable for everyone.

My voice matches up best with an acoustic guitar. So, my genre is more of the country-acoustic style.

I have had a voice coach, but now I mainly learn from myself through recording and just having fun with singing in my car!!

I write a good bit, but would like more experience. I would like to write with someone who has had more exposure to writing music so that I can learn more about how to put my ideas and stories to paper--then music.

BIOGRAPHY:

I am a 21-yr-old college student. Right now, I'm just trying to figure out where I'm going in life. I grew up in the country--giving me my southern roots. I have always had a passion for music. Music will always be a part in my life.

I have been singing all my life. I had gotten real shy about singing around the age of 9; mainly because my voice was starting to actually sound good--not like all my other friends. I wouldn't sing in front of ANYONE until I was about 12-yrs-old (only a select handful of friends). Soon after that, I would only sing on a stage (mainly karaoke). But for some crazy reason, all the great compliments I had gotten was weird to me and I didn't know how to take it. I felt that I was put on a pedal stool, and felt unworthy. I guess I was afraid that if i ever messed up I would disappoint everyone.

Then, I started singing more in front of more people and was getting more comfortable. I got a voice coach at the age of 17. When I graduated High School, I took on auditions and more shows. I was slowly understanding that no one and no performance is going to be absolutely perfect--especially when you try to make it that way. The key is to have fun and be yourself. I know that sounds cheesy, but it's the absolute truth!!
