I have been out of the music scene for several years and just getting serious again. Have not played a live gig in almost 5 years, so I'm a tad anxious to get out there again:)I enjoy lots of different music but in a band situation I love to play melodic/progressive rock and metal like Dream Theater, Rush, Iron Maiden, Edguy, Queensryche, Stratovarius, many many more...I'm really not into the angry grunt/growl/screamo stuff, with just one exception (who DOESN'T like Pantera?).

Influences:

I am inspired by many musicians but the short list is John Petrucci, Adrian Smith, Nuno Bettencourt, Paul Gilbert, Dime, Satriani, Vai. Also inspired by others like Geddy Lee, Mike Portnoy, Micheal Kiske, Tobias Sammet and many others. I like to get a different perspective than just the guitar, and studying other players helps me get a bigger picture during the writing process.

Equipment List:

Owned and sold alot of stuff through the years, currently running a Fender Strat through a Peavey XXL 100 watt head and cabinet. Shopping around for effects but tend to keep that end relatively simple.
