Jake Johnson Band has played this area, up and down the East Coast and online, for more than 16 years, and in that time, we have reinvented ourselves completely several times over, and we have been thru many musicians over the years. Currently, we're working as a 3 piece band, however, we are seriously seeking a second guitar player who will round us out. This person must be skilled in varoius styles, capable of "shooting from the hip" and be willing and able to work within the frame of our unique and original sound and motif...
Also, if we can find the right person for the job, a keyboard/organ player would be great. But, this person must be a perfect fit. That's really hard to find. But we're looking... This band has the full PA, the truck/trailor, the lights, the gear, the talent and the set-list (complete with original material)... We're currently working hard to finish, record and release our first album. Give me a call or shoot me an email and let's make magic together...

EVERYTHING. We are song-sluts. We'll play anything.
Here's a phrase that will get your job... "I don't like that song, i'm not playing it." If you are a serious musician, then you know that you aren't in a band and on stage, playing a show, playing for yourself. It's about the audience, and if they wanna hear it, and we can play it... We're going to. So, none of that nonsense. Also, we are trying to build a large following. One way to do that is to play everyone's favorite songs. Not by being refusing to. Besides, you will be hired based on your skill... Not your taste anyway.
