Ukulele players searching for other Dead-icated UKULELE players in the Long Beach/South Bay, CA area to play UKE arrangements of Grateful Dead songs, various Americana, and originals.
Must have working knowledge of music theory and a great ear. If you can read tabs and sight read music, play multiple styles, and have some improvisational chops, that would be extra super copacetic.
We are an LGBT affirmative group seeking other like-minded soprano/tenor/baritone/bass ukulele players, as well as a percussionist (cajon), who LOVE the Grateful Dead and want to perform on stage. Don't worry if you're not at 100% yet - this is a work in progress and we'll learn to do this together. Just be kind. :)
