I write original music that sounds like acoustic grunge, jazzy pop and, if I'm lucky, good prog-rock like Tool. I have a wide range of musical tastes and abilities, but usually stick to writing original music as opposed to covering songs. Influences:

Incubus, Tool, STP, Nirvana, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Doves, Police, a bunch of 80s music at the moment, Billy Joel, ummm...a lot more artist than that, but thats about it.

Equipment List:

have a stratocaster wanna-be (its a Cruise), with a Spider II amp, a Line 6 Pod, two decent mics (but no PA), an Ibanez acoustic bass and a Squier acoustic guitar.
