My name is Josh White, I play in a pipe band in Boise, The City of Trees Pipes and Drums. Check out the website: www.boisebagpipes.com

I play the Great Highland Pipes and the Scottish small pipes.
Have played with a variety of groups. I played with the rock band Malachi on a few gigs including the Knitting Factory in Boise am slated to record with them. I've also played with celtic folk groups from around the Boise area.

Note to musicians. The Highland pipes are in the key of B flat Mixolydian. But it is NOT a B flat insturment. Maybe a better way to put it is that "the scale is A major with a minor 7th.... and it's about a half step sharp."
This means that some tuning has to be preformed between instruments for it to gell. But it can and does!
The Scottish small pipes are in the key of A and they blend well with out much effort.
