I play rootsy rock and roll and country rock with liberal sprinklings of blues, country, reggae, r&b, rockabilly, folk, etc. played with a certain amount of jazz-inspired improvisation. The artists and styles I like include: The Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, The Band, Bob Marley, The Allman Brothers, various blues artists, Motown stuff, The Byrds, The Beatles, Dire Straits, Tom Petty, Flying Burrito Brothers, Gram Parsons, all sorts of Jazz, Bluegrass and Folk and on and on.
Also play acoustic music in a folky-bluegrassy vein. If you dig the Garcia-Grisman stuff, acoustic Grateful Dead, Tony Rice, Doc Watson, Norman Blake etc you know what I'm talking about.
