SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
Looking to join rock, classic rock or blues-rock band. Mainly covers. From the 60s to current.
Lead/rhythm guitar player with 45+ years of experience. I formerly gigged all around the Chicago area....from headlining clubs to playing Taste of Chicago to opening for national acts.
I would like to gig a few times per month. Looking to rehearse once/week. However, I am open to whatever makes sense for the band to reach its goals of sounding like pros (in other words, knowing what it takes to go into - and come out of - breaks, segue into songs, etc.). Not looking to make a living at it or turn it into a job. I PRACTICE my parts at home so rehearsals are productive and the band gets a song gig-ready in a couple takes.
Uber-pro gear; pro chops; lots of experience. No crazies, drunks, druggies, etc. Committed musicians that learn their songs and chops before practice are what I am seeking.
Looking to rock. Not looking for a garage jam or an open mic night at the local Tuesday night blues jam.

On the two attached sound files ... I play one of the rhythm tracks and the lead on the original song "NiteMare City"; and I play one of the rhythm tracks and the lead under the vocals on "People Get Ready". All rhythm tracks on those songs were recorded "live in the studio", as a band in one take. Vocs and all leads were recorded in one take.

People Get Ready
People Get Ready Track number: 2 Album: Former Band Demo
I play one of the rhythm tracks and the lead when the song steps up 1/2 step. This is the quality of musicianship I am used to, and hope/expect to find in a band down here. All rhythm tracks done in one take as a band. Each lead done in one take. Lead vocals done in one take.
